Working with Not-for-Profits
We don’t often think of the non-profit sector as part of the business world. But many organizations—whether mission-driven, member-focused, or focused on issue advocacy—are, in fact, business entities with ongoing operations.
Like any business, non-profit agencies, unions, associations, and even governments are structured non-profit organizations. The key difference? They exist not to generate profits for shareholders, but to serve a broader purpose or deliver public benefit. And like any workplace, they’re made up of people—and wherever people are involved, there’s potential for conflict.
In this short presentation, Sharad Kerur, a certified senior WFI practitioner, will explore how the business of non-profits operates, where conflict tends to show up, and how workplace restoration could be a powerful and practical approach for this sector.

Conflict Management Coaching: Where and How it Fits in the Dispute Resolution Field
In 1999, Cinnie founded the CINERGY® model. Her model is based on principles of conflict management, coaching, and neuroscience. Also known as conflict coaching, it is a one-on-one process in which a trained coach supports individual clients in strengthening their conflict competence, thereby maximizing their ability to engage in conflict independently or participate in mediation and other processes.
In this presentation, Cinnie will share her research process and findings, as well as the wide range of applications used by her and other coaches trained in this model. She will also discuss examples of the goals clients bring to this coaching specialty.
You will receive access to the WFI Learning Hub and two e-learning courses to reinforce the content presented during the live sessions. We will share the WFI Hub and the courses upon registration, and you will have access to them for a period of one year. Your enrolment will also include a one-year membership in our Community of Practice.
